Treatment Conference

Dr. Yury Geylikman uses the information from an initial clinical exam, health history, and records to complete a diagnosis and treatment plan. A treatment conference is then held to review the records, discuss the treatment plan, areas of cooperation, treatment time, and fees, methods of payment, and answer any questions that the patient and/or parents may have. If there is a lack of time or urgency to start on the part of the patient, a telephone conference can be done or an immediate treatment consultation at the initial exam.

Length of Treatment Time
In general, active treatment time with orthodontic appliances ranges from one to three years. The actual time depends on the growth of the patient's mouth and face, the cooperation of the patient, and the severity of the problem. Mild problems may require less time, and some individuals respond faster to treatment than others.
