Besides a clinical examination Dr. Yury Geylikman will need:
1. Cephalometric head film (x-ray of the head), which gives an indication of the jaw growth pattern
2. X-rays of the teeth (to check the bone and root health of the teeth and wisdom teeth position)
3. X-rays of the jaw joint (if a problem or potential problem is suspected)
4. Dental and facial photographs
5. Study models (molds) of the teeth
These records allow Dr. Yury to verify the treatment plan, determine
treatment alternatives, the potential for success and any risks
involved (such as short roots, bone loss or tooth decay). They also
provide a permanent record of what the teeth looked like prior to
any treatment.
